An audio shop run by people who set up systems themselves

We Sell Sound, Not Boxes

QLINK Trading supplies speakers, microphone sets, karaoke systems and mixers to homes, halls, cafes and event crews across Malaysia.
We are based in George Town and we ship everywhere. What we do differently is simple: we plug things in. Every product is bench-tested, every listing is written from what we heard rather than what the box claimed, and every customer gets an honest answer about what they actually need.

What Keeps Us On The Bench

There are two ways to run an audio shop in Malaysia. You can move cartons quickly, trust the supplier’s spec sheet, and hope the customer never calls back. Or you can open every model, run it hard, and build a catalogue you would happily set up at your own event. We picked the second one early, and it has shaped everything since — the size of our range, the pace we grow at, and the kind of people who work here.

The bench is where the real decisions happen. A new speaker gets driven up through its range while we listen for the exact point the bass gives out. A mic set gets carried around a full hall to find its dropout zone. An amp runs for an hour so we can feel how hot it gets. Roughly a third of what we sample never makes it onto the site, and we would rather lose that margin than have a customer discover the weakness during a wedding speech.

The habits, the people and the standards behind QLINK

The other half of the job is translation. Most people buying a karaoke set or a PA are not audio engineers — they are parents, MCs, teachers, temple volunteers, cafe owners. They should not have to decode impedance charts to make a decent choice. So we ask about the room, the crowd, the power supply and the budget, then say plainly which model fits and which one is overkill. Talking someone down to a cheaper option is a normal Tuesday here.

We also refuse to disappear after the invoice. We keep spare capsules, receivers, cables and drivers for the models we sell, and we answer messages from people mid-setup with an event starting in an hour. That is the moment a supplier is actually worth something, and it is the reason a good share of our orders come from customers on their second, third or fourth system.

What we are building is not complicated. A shop where the gear does what we said it would, the advice is worth taking, and the sound holds up when the room is full. Everything else is just details.
